Linda Gibson

Linda grew up in Iowa and attended the University of Iowa, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology.

Linda helped coach a special olympics team in Iowa for two years before getting a job in Brownwood, Texas. She taught PE and coached volleyball, basketball and track for four years at Brownwood Junior High before moving to the DFW area.  She taught and coached volleyball, basketball, cross country, track and soccer in Lewisville ISD at Hedrick Middle School for one year, then for 16 years at Forestwood Middle School and finally for 15 years at McKamy Middle School.  Linda retired from education in the spring of 2025 after 36 years of teaching and coaching.

Fun fact, Linda grew up and worked on a dairy farm and has four sisters and two brothers.
