Halie Hukill

Coach Halie is from Kansas City, MO. She started playing volleyball in the 4th grade and hasn't stopped since! In High School she played as a Middle Blocker and Right-Side Hitter. She also ran track, played basketball, and played club volleyball. She went to York University in York, NE on an academic and athletic scholarship to play Volleyball. Throughout her 4 years there she played Outside, Middle, and Right side- even some backrow too! Her senior year she was named York University Female Athlete of the Year. She graduated with a sports management degree. 

After graduating, she started working for Hudl (a sports tech company) on the Volleyball team. Then in 2018, she moved to Texas to be a teacher and coach! She coached the JV volleyball team for Lake Dallas HS for three years and she's spent the last 3 years as the Varsity Assistant Coach at Denton HS. She started coaching club in 2016 and has coached for a variety of clubs and ages in Nebraska and Texas; including Nebraska ONE, 940, and Texas Advantage Volleyball. Her favorite part of coaching is the relationships built and seeing the athletes improve!

Fun facts: Coach Halie just had a little boy in January! She loves to travel and has been to 13 countries. She teaches US History and enjoys learning things of the past. She also loves a good book, chai latte, and mac n cheese.
